Organizational Change Management Specialist


The OCM specialist has two components of work, one is communications and the other is workforce transition activities. For communications, the specialist will be working very closely with the OCM Lead to ready the impacted communities for the new PLM system adoption. The key objective is to increase end-user acceptance and commitment level towards the new PLM system by well managing end-user expectations, delivering impactful and consistent messages, and staying sensitive to and act upon the organization’s reaction to PLM throughout the program.

In terms of workforce transition, the specialist will be working with the OCM Lead, HR department, Business Stakeholders, and key employees to comprehensively transition the A&D workforce from the current state to the future PLM state. The key objective of the WTS is to execute a smooth and successful workforce transition throughout the PLM transformation journey.


  • In collaboration with the program OCM Lead and HR partners, develops and adjusts the Communications Strategy, detailed Communications Plan, Workforce Transition Strategy and detailed Transition Plan
  • Communications entails but not limited to the following

oConduct organization Communications Assessments

oIdentify, determine, and develop communications channels and vehicles

oDesign, develop, and distribute periodic communications content as outlined in the Communications Plan

oOrganize and run PLM communications activities

oManage PLM website, display and bulletin board

  • Transition Planning entails but not limited to the following

oPerform change impact assessments

oAssess the process, organization, and job impacts

address organization design

plan and execute role-to-position mapping

  • Establish launch (go-live) transition plans

develop go-live guides

  • Interface and collaborate with other OCM functions (communications specialist, training vendor, etc.) and across operating groups and sites
  • Assesse organizational readiness level periodically
  • Maintain community feedback mechanism
  • Assist with targeted stakeholder engagement activities


To be considered for this position you’ll need the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications
  • Significant industry experience in external/internal marketing, communications, and/or graphic design in print and digital media, HR practices and workforce transformation
  • Prior experience with surveying and results analysis
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Keen ability to tune in and understand people’s emotions (both positive and negative) without personal bias
  • Sensitivity towards and ability to quickly understand unique business needs and company culture
  • Significant experience participating on projects that encompass both business and technical change
  • Prior experience in OCM
  • Experience working in the field of engineering within a manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of PLM
